Welcome

The Prayer Space

The Prayer Space has arrived on the Greenwich Peninsula, in front of the green wall alongside Peninsula Square.

The Prayer Space is available for individuals to use for prayer and reflection; for faith communities to use for their own worship, prayer and other events; as a base for the chaplains; for dialogue between people of different faiths; and for community events and community development. The Chaplaincy has recruited a team of welcomers to welcome groups and individuals to the Prayer Space.

The Greenwich Peninsula Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy provides for the religious, spiritual, pastoral, educational and social needs of the emerging community on the Greenwich Peninsula. It is for anyone on the Peninsula and the neighbouring area: businesses, residents, construction workers, visitors; indeed, anyone frequenting the Peninsula.

We are a team of religious leaders and lay people working together from a variety of different religions. We wish to promote religious harmony and understanding by raising awareness of our different religious traditions.

The Chaplains on the Peninsula site are currently working at the O2 and in its neighbourhood, at Ravensbourne College, on construction sites, at ASDA, and for any individual or organisation working on the Peninsula (and we also provide a team of chaplains for police officers in the borough).

The needs of the peninsula will change dramatically over the next 10 years and our style of chaplaincy will change with those needs.
