Who does what? The Greenwich
Peninsula Chaplaincy
was established in 2003 to serve the spiritual and other needs of
people who
live in, work in and visit the Since 2005 it
has organized a team of workplace chaplains,
and now it has opened the Prayer Space for individuals to use for
prayer and
reflection, as a base for the chaplains, as a place for dialogue
between people
of different faiths, and for community development. People of
different faiths involved in the chaplaincy do
together everything which everyone can in good conscience do together:
so we
work together as chaplains and we manage the Prayer Space together. Faith
communities in Each faith
community has signed an agreement with the
trustees of the Greenwich Peninsula Chaplaincy and each one is
contributing
towards the costs of managing the building. So far the Parish of East Greenwich (Christian: Church of England) (website), Greenwich United Church (Christian: United Reformed Church and Methodist) (website), Greenwich Islamic Centre (Muslim), the Kingdom Family Church (Christian) and the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is, have signed agreements
with the
chaplaincy’s trustees. |
